The Laboratory
In the heart of the factory, the R&D laboratory has two missions :
- control of the industrial manufacture of detergent products.
- development of new formulas.
Control :
All the products which come onto the site are checked. Each is also checked throughout all the different steps of the production process in order to guarantee perfect traceability.
Research :
Work is aimed at original formula development as well as upgrading technical aspects of products, for example tablets. A few examples of original developments : tablets for washing babies'clothes ; soaps with the season's fragance ; multi-purpose gels...
The current R&D team is interested in eco-friendly products, as well as new materials, seaweed or vegetable sugars for example. Transformation using bacteria or enzymes allows us to obtain products which irritate less or are less dangerous to your health.
Attention to regulations :
We watch out for new legislation and work on the development of new molecules, and give advice to our customers on their use.
The R&D team
It is made up of two full-time people and outside consultants. Jean-Claude Polizzi, laboratory manager, considers his job to be a combination of chemical analysis and chemical formulation. The development of original and adapted formulas offers a large panel of solutions and responses to all kinds of requests - internal and external.

Tailor-making expertise
CDSM masters the art of formulation, which allows us to decipher a washing powder, create it or recreate it by adding up to 21 different additives to a powder base.
Strengthened by its skills and good judgement from years of experience, we are capable of responding to all kinds of problems : products for mass production or specific applications, diverse packaging, turnkey products, detergents from chemical or eco-friendly bases, traditional soap or R&D projects...
